⚡ Quick Summary (In Plain English)

BrightCredit helps Australians understand their credit options.

We’re not a lender, and we don’t currently provide credit assistance — but we’re in the process of becoming authorised to do so under an Australian Credit Licence (ACL).

Right now, our content and tools are for general information only.

Once our licensing is complete, any credit assistance will be provided in accordance with the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth) and responsible lending obligations.

1. Introduction

BrightCredit Pty Ltd (“BrightCredit”, “we”, “us”) operates as an information platform designed to help users understand credit products and, where appropriate, may refer users to licensed credit providers or brokers.

We do not currently:

  • Offer credit or lending directly;
  • Assess or approve credit applications; or
  • Provide personal credit advice or product recommendations.

All loan and credit activities are conducted exclusively by licensed entities or authorised credit representatives.

2. Eligibility

To use BrightCredit, you must:

  • ✅ Be at least 18 years old
  • ✅ Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • ✅ Provide accurate and truthful information

If we suspect fraudulent or misleading activity, we reserve the right to terminate access to our services.

3. Credit Advice & Licensing Status

BrightCredit is in the process of obtaining authorisation under an Australian Credit Licence.

Until that authorisation is complete, we provide general information only and do not engage in credit activity as defined under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth).

Our educational content is designed to help you understand how credit works and prepare for discussions with licensed professionals.

Any references to products, eligibility, or “qualification” are illustrative only and do not constitute credit advice or offers.

Once authorised, BrightCredit and its representatives will be permitted to provide credit assistance and will operate in accordance with ACL obligations.

4. User Obligations

When using BrightCredit, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your financial situation
  • Use the service for lawful purposes only
  • Not submit false, misleading, or fraudulent applications
  • Not attempt to interfere with our website’s functionality

If we detect abuse of our platform, we may suspend or terminate your access.

5. Loan Matching & Third-Party Lenders

BrightCredit may refer or introduce users to licensed brokers or lenders who can assist further.
By submitting your information, you acknowledge that:

  • We may securely share your data with approved partners for referral purposes;
  • All credit assessments and loan decisions are handled by those licensed partners; and
  • BrightCredit does not control or guarantee any lender’s outcome, rate, or approval process.

All partner entities must hold an Australian Credit Licence or operate as authorised credit representatives.

6. Fees & Referral Arrangements

BrightCredit may receive a referral fee or commission if you proceed with a product or service offered by one of our licensed partners. This does not increase the cost to you.

If we ever introduce a paid support service (e.g. document review, credit health check, or application assistance), all costs will be disclosed upfront before you proceed.

7. Accuracy of Information

While we strive to keep all content accurate and up to date, we:

  • Do not guarantee the accuracy of loan offers, rates, or lender terms displayed on our site
  • Are not responsible for errors caused by third-party lenders or service providers

You should verify all details directly with the lender before proceeding with any loan application.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on BrightCredit.com.au, including logos, text, graphics, and website design, is protected by copyright, trademarks, and intellectual property laws.

You may not:

  • ❌ Copy, reproduce, or modify our content without permission
  • ❌ Use our branding or trademarks for commercial purposes

Unauthorised use of our intellectual property may result in legal action.

Our website may include links to third-party lenders or financial service providers. These links are provided for convenience only.

We collect and handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our Privacy Policy.

By using our website, you consent to:
